Woke up Monday mornin'
The woman I loved was gone
Now I'm sittin' in the basement
Waitin' on the telephone

Clouds have started rollin' in
Wind is blowin' through the trees
The sky has gotten dark as night
Time to get down on my knees

There was lightning, rain and thunder
Went to find a place to hide
Hurricanes all around me
Tornadoes comin' side by side

You know I could use some shelter
From the darkness movin' in

There's no way that I could win

Thought the storm would pass me by
Got no such luck today
Wind is kickin' up by the minute
What I own is flyin' away

Thunder is rumblin' in the distance
Rain is bouncin' off the ground
Could this be the end of if all
