Burned

I put the capo way down the neck of my guitar and started doodling on it and came up with this tune. Being in the blues has taught me to “tell it like it is,” and I wanted to tell the truth, from the male or female perspective, about learning things the hard way. I took the idea to Tom Horner and we finished it. “I’ve been burned before, ain’t gonna touch that stove again.” We call it “the stove song.”
