Biography
While the group works with many more Artists, the songs here featured demonstrate a cross section of the group's versatility, both in the studio, and live. Dub Station has been the glue, or a magnifying glass through which most of the artists featured have launched or intensified their careers (check the Info section on each tune for more song-specific background).
Constantly reinventing itself, the Dub Station is seeking further exposure for its existing roster and catalog, as well as new recording, touring, and Artist development opportunities.
In a sense, Dub Station is both long established (for over a decade) and up-and-coming (still broadening its global scope and exposure).
Having won various awards ("Outstanding Reggae Act," "Best Caribbean Band," etc.), performed internationally (including in Jamaica & Canada) - backed dozens of regional & touring acts (including Abijah, Richie Spice, Junior Kelly & many more) - as well as having hosted or acted as support for most of the big names in the business (Jimmy Cliff to the Wailers, Toots to Buju, Beres to Black Uhuru), Dub Station is a club & Festival natural.
Represented by the KRucial Reggae, Dub Station is open to expanding its team. As it is, the group brings to the table a wide internet 'footprint,' sending emailed newsletters to over 9000 fans and industry folk; and having its home web site Reggae4i.com visited by nearly 10,000 discrete viewers monthly.
The group has toured most of the U.S. multiple times and is seeking more overseas engagements, as well as licensing & promotion for its various albums & collaborations, several of which have CMJ-charted and gone into rotation at hundreds of radio stations.
