Monroe's Mandolin
1. Monroe’s Mandolin
Virginia Long and Vernon Long
(Triple V Ozark Mountain Music/BMI)
This was first recorded by my dear friends, The Bressler Brothers, from Eminence, MO. Bill Monroe is the reason I play bluegrass music. I was a small child the first time I heard him, and I was bitten by the bluegrass bug for life. This is a song to honor the “Father of Bluegrass Music.”
Doyle Lawson – mandolin, baritone vocal
Darren Beachley – guitar, lead vocal
Carl White – bass, tenor vocal
Joey Cox – banjo
Josh Swift – resophonic guitar
Brandon Godman – fiddle
