I'm In A Hurry To Go Nowhere
I’m In A Hurry To Go Nowhere
Written by Kim Fox and Brandon Rickman
I’m in a hurry to go nowhere
And it seems I’m getting’ there real fast
You might see me cruisin’ by the stop signs
That’s cause I’m drivin’ with both feet on the gas
Lately my life is like a runaway freight train
I swear I heard a lonesome whistle whine
I’m in a hurry to go nowhere
And it seems that I’ll arrive there in no time
Every time I swing this old door wide open
And gather up my nerve to step outside
When movin’ on moves on to be a notion
The door slams shut on this old heart of mine
I really hate to be in this condition
My mind’s made up but my heart can’t decide
With each step I take in the wrong direction
I’ve got one foot in and one foot out of this hokey-pokey life
Lately my life is like a runaway freight train
I swear I heard a lonesome whistle whine
I’m in a hurry to go nowhere
And it seems that I’ll arrive there in no time
I really hate to be in this condition
My mind’s made up but my heart can’t decide
With each step I take in the wrong direction
I’ve got one foot in and one foot out of this hokey-pokey life
