*Losing my Dad was extremely devastating. A friend of mine once said every time she found a penny on the ground, it was her Dadddy (who had died), saying hello to her.
I also find pennies in strange places, most all have been dated during the years my Dad was alive. So when I find a penny, I don't just suspect it is my Daddy "saying hello" to me, I take that a step further, and I look at the year the penny was made, and ask myself, "What would my Dad want me to remember about that year?"
I saw a shooting star the 1st anniversary of my Dad's death, and approximately the same time he passed. Thus this song came about, as well as about 25 other songs dealing with my Dad's death. I was a Daddy's girl. But he checks on me once in awhile, and "says hello."
