Over their decade-plus time together, Doc Walker have earned the title of ‘the hardest working country band in Canada’ the old fashioned way, through relentless perseverance and constantly honing their chops as songwriters and performers.

“It’s three guys that have known each other a long time and when you put us in the same room together, it’s what comes out. It’s not trying to be something. It’s really just what happens when the three of us get together, with all of our different influences,” explains Doc Walker’s Murray Pulver.

Go, which was released last fall in Canada, saw the band nominated for a 2010 JUNO Award for Country Album of The Year, for the second year in a row.
(Doc Walker took home the 2009 JUNO Award for Country Album of the Year for their previous album entitled ‘Beautiful Life). GO has produced 3 top10 hits with the singles Coming Home and If I Fall, as well as the latest single I’m Gonna Make You Love Me, which is steadily climbing the charts. Since 1997, Doc Walker has recorded 6 albums showcasing their musical versatility, performing everything from traditional outlaw country and bluegrass, all the way through 1970s hard rock, ‘90s alternative rock, and classic R ‘n B.

The award-winning group took their sound down under in March of this year, playing for the first time in Australia at CMC Rocks The Snowys, a festival that takes place in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales. The performance was nothing short of distinctive and while the band was down under, their
single If I Fall, climbed to the number one spot on the Australian CMC Top 50! Australia would not soon forget Doc Walker.

While their talent and sheer determination has netted them multiple top 10 and top 5 hits on Canadian radio and the Canadian music industry’s highest awards and accolades, the real payoff for is more accurately measured in the band’s mutual dedication to each other and the music.
