Where he stayed in the mountains and never came down to the loved ones left behind.
Then a white calf he saved on a cold, bitter night as a star shown bright in the east.
This gave him the sign with deep snow on pines he knew now was the time.
He dreams of a Cowboy Christmas with family and loved ones around.
The ranch house is beaming with everyone singing carols of good wishes.
Children are playing with gifts they are saying can you hear that joyous sound?

Memories abound like stars in the heavens, of a sweetheart he pines in his mind.
