That’s How Strong My Love Is – Tad Robinson & The Delmark All-Stars

Written by Roosevelt Jamison, “That’s How Strong My Love Is” made its debut in 1964 through
a rendition by soul artist O.V. Wright. The song gained widespread recognition with notable
recordings in 1965 by Otis Redding and the Rolling Stones, followed by versions from The
Hollies and Percy Sledge in 1966. Over the years, numerous artists have been drawn to its
allure, spanning from Candi Staton to The Youngbloods, Humble Pie to Little Milton and Taj
Mahal to Bryan Ferry.
Tad Robinson showcased his rendition in Dave Specter’s 1994 Delmark album “Blueplicity”.
Fast forward three decades, Tad and Dave revisited the song, this time with for the historical
Delmark 70th anniversary concert at Evanston SPACE with the Delmark All-Stars.
