Waiting and watching for signs
I found myself living between the line
Confused caprice that I saw
Interpretations of the law

Once on the other side of the door
I knew I could not be afraid anymore
At first I fell
Then I began to soar

Moving away from the fold
I found my way out in the icy cold
A light in the land of the lost
I warmed myself moving against the frost

I kept a fire burning inside
Kicking through ashes of those that have died
Warmed by the truth
Chilled by those who lied

Sinking in an ocean
Beneath the ice and snow
I struggled with the darkness
Waiting down below

By the light of reason
Brighter than the sun
I’ll keep these shadows dancing
Until this day
