He's A Cat
He’s A Cat © 2006 Tim Martin and Dawnya Clarine

He comes by every day or so
Big ol cat, comes to my door
He knows who he’s supposed to be
He’s a cat, I’m just me

Not a worry between his ears
Lives his life without no fears
Wish I could be like him
And follow my every whim

No conflict of interest
Sure of his existence
‘Cause he’s a cat and I’m just me

He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me
He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me

Does what he wants, eat, sleep, play
Makes sure I don’t get in his way
Sometimes he gets it in his head
To help himself to my bed

No conflict of interest
Sure of his existence
‘Cause he’s a cat and I’m just me

He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me
He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me

When he’s purring in my lap
I think just maybe he’s my cat
Then he yowls and growls and sinks in his claws
Demands some food, he’s all sorts of rude
HE thinks that’s the way it will always be
He’s the cat, and I’m just me
But I’ve been thinking
And I got a plan

When I die… I’m gonna come back
It’ll be as a sassy ol cat
I won’t worry, I won’t fret
I’ll find my guy and be his pet

No conflict of interest
Sure of my existence
Yeah, I’ll be the cat and he’ll be me

He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me
He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me

He’s a big old mean old bad old cat, I’m just me
But I’ll show him something when I come back, and he’ll be me

He’s a cat, he’s a cat, he’s a cat and I’m just me
He’s a cat, and I’m just me
