615 Hideaway Records is proud to announce the new single “West Virginia” from David Parmley, the follow up single to his #1 hit single “All Dressed Up” on 615 Hideaway Records.

“West Virginia” written by Linda Buell and Jody Emerson tells the story of a man who has traded suits and slicker shoes for cowboy boots and a Stetson hat to follow his dreams of being a cowboy.

“I liked the song West Virginia the first time I heard it. To me, it’s about a guy leaving the security of his home to purse his dreams, kind of like musicians do!”David Parmley

“West Virginia”was recorded at Digital Underground Recording Studio, Greenbrier, TN and produced by David Parmley and Scott Vestal containing performances by David Parmley (Lead Vocal and Harmony), Don Rigsby (Harmony Vocal), Scott Vestal (Banjo), Jeff Partin (Dobro), Tim Crouch (Fiddle), Jim Hurst (Guitar), Seth Taylor (Mandolin) and Dave Roe (Bass).

David Parmley began his musical career at age 15 and by the time he turned 17, he began his full-time career as a member of The Bluegrass Cardinals. That band featured his father, Don Parmley, and David's lead and baritone voice was the backbone to The Bluegrass Cardinal sound. During a 25-year period The Bluegrass Cardinals recorded 18 albums and the material is considered the finest to come out of the 70's and 80's Bluegrass era.

David Parmely left The Bluegrass Cardinals in the 90's to pursue a solo career leaning more towards a modern approach to Bluegrass Music.  David Parmley and Continental Divide topped the Bluegrass Charts throughout the 90's and now Parmley is back and excited to be recording again and creating new music as well as keeping the family tradition alive!
