I Rattle When I Walk
Dad passed away last year, the day following Father's Day 2020. My brother was on his way to visit him in hospital when he got the news that there had been a "medical crisis", and that Dad had been sedated. He never regained consciousness and was gone the next morning.
The video which accompanies the song is simply a personal way of giving people a glimpse of his accomplishments as a gospel singer, and his influence on the life of his two sons.
The song itself is about how strange your father can seem when you're younger, until you've taken on some of the responsibilities he has, and you begin to understand. The contents of Daddy's pockets, rattling around in his "uncool" polyester slacks, are symbolic of those responsibilities.
