Honeyboy is talking about his song - Who May Your Regular Be, which he first recorded in Houston, Texas in 1951. In this vignette he talks about this being his first recording. It was released on 78 by Mrs.McCollum, An African-American businesswoman married to a doctor. Mrs. McCollum managed, booked and recorded Amos Milburn, Lightnin; Hopkins and pianist Thunder Smith at that time. Her label was ARC, a small independent label, later acquired by Chris Strachwitz, founder/owner of Arhoolie Records.
