I'm Afraid Of Dyin'

Well I don’t mind tellin’ ya I’m afraid of dying
You know I hate to come such a long way just to fail
If tomorrow morning your reading my obituary,
It won’t be because I haven’t tried like hell
Oh I don’t mind being a guy who’s from the country
And I don’t care what you ever think of me
Cause there’s a place inside my head that’s quiet and peaceful
And all I have to do is go there to feel free
Well I don’t mind telling ya sometimes I get lonesome
And I don’t mind telling ya sometimes my heart strays
But the thought of living without you sends a shiver down my spine,
Darling please don’t take your love away
Well I don’t mind if you think that I talk funny
And I don’t care if you think that I dress wrong
My heart don’t skip a beat when yer laughing in my face
It’s the price I pay for living here too long
But I don’t mind saying sometimes I can’t be troubled
With picking up my own pieces when I fall
Once yer down sometimes it’s best not to get up,
Just let me rest here peaceful against the wall
Dying young ain’t nothing to be proud of
And livin’ fast will kill you in the end
I get so tired of this awful restless feeling
It changes my direction like the wind
