Biography
DANIELLE SENIOR - BIOGRAPHY Her music is a reflection of her character - honest and yet experimental, interactive and yet challenging. Not one to put herself into a box she is never one thing and is constantly pushing boundaries. At just 22 years old Danielle Senior has collaborated with a range of producers and artists alike including Colin C-Swing Emmanuel producer of chart toppers Jamelia and Beverley Knight amongst others, Don E, Skillz, Baby J, mobo award winner Dexplicit, Shystie, Blemish, and Neeko formerly of the More Fire Crew. Having worked with Backbone Music for the last two years, headed by JJC aka Skillz, the co-founder and producer of Big Brovaz, Danielle is currently working on a long-awaited solo EP due for release in 2006. She has also set up her own music consultancy service in conjunction with Blemish Blackstorm called BreakProof Ltd. Danielle has been creating quite a buzz on the street and has been recently interviewed on Whoa 90.4 FM, Smoke FM, UTZ -Urban Tingz website, in SOS magazine, Touch magazine, and Don Diva magazine, and on BEN TV. Having featured on Shysties debut single One Wish, Danielle and Shystie have collaborated once again on The Rain. The track is produced by Baby J and is taken from his album Baby J Presents...F.T.P. Danielle has also collaborated with Neeko, formerly of the More Fire Crew, on a track called For My Son which has been championed by DJ Semtex on BBC 1Xtra. The video to For My Son is out on Channel U now! While she loves songwriting, playing keyboards and studio work, (she writes all of her own lyrics as well as for others), it is during live performance where her spontaneity, energy and creativity soar. With her love for performing live (her live debut was at age 5!), you can witness her confident and sexy stage presence at various places including the Hard Rock Café (West End), Blag Club Notting Hill Gate), Cottons (North London), Live! At Market Place (West End), the 10 Rooms (West End), Plan B (Brixton), Meantime Club (Greenwich) and Cargo (Hoxton). Together with the Backbone Music family she has also performed at the Vibrations festival (Burgess Park, South London), The Bowl festival (Crystal Palace Park, South London) and has opened for Joe Budden (Manchester Academy). Danielles musical heroes include some of the best vocalists and song-writers ever: The Carpenters, Minnie Riperton (Lovin You was the first record Danielle ever bought), Roberta Flack, Randy Crawford, Rose Royce, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. These days Danielle listens to a range of music from RnB, Hip-Hop and Nu Soul to Indie and Funky House, from the US and the UK, with Mary J. Blige and Musiq Soulchild being her current favourite artists from the US and Don E, Sade, Artic Monkeys, Joss Stone and Beverly Knight in the UK. Apart from concentrating on her music and co-running BreakProof Ltd, this talented entrepreneur, who has a degree in English Literature BA Hons, is also a freelance music journalist, a model signed to Zebra Management, and an aspiring actress.
