Biography

Dan Rivers AKA Dan Robilotta Dan grew up in New York and has traveled extensively. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and worked in the pharmaceutical construction industry while crafting his songs for the commercial market on weekends. After writing over 500 songs Dan started co-writing five years ago and joined NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International). Dan is the Regional Coordinator for NSAI in New Orleans.
He is now writing professionally on a full time basis. Dan has had 3 Indie cuts. “ Boneyard in Benton County has been featured on the NPR Car Talk nationally syndicated show.” It also plays on the Paris based Midnight Blues show. Songs are receiving heavy internet rotation in New York ,Paris and LA as well as terrestrial radio stations. Dan has performed twice on Fox TV in New Orleans . 18 of 20 songs on his fisrt two CD’s have been licensed for in store play by EOS backed by longtime Sirius/XM Satellite Radio partner Applied Media Technologies Corporation. Making 10 -12 trips per year he has two single song contracts and is pursuing a staff writing deal. He is appearing in Nashville writer’s night rounds and locally in New Orleans where he resides with his wife Ginnie. Performed as a singer songwriter as a single act in Cape Cod and Ski Resorts of Vermont. Toured with the duo “Sundance” throughout New England. Dan wrote songs for the group. His wide range of music has gone from folk rock / country to pop. Dan plays guitar, keyboards and is a lead singer. His first CD ‘Philadelphia Collection” covers a wide range of music. The newly released CD “Louisiana Sky” had the title track selected for the “Save Our Wetlands” compilation CD and “Whiskey In Heaven” plays on Celtic Roots Radio from Belfast and is now scheduled to be on a future podcast.
