Damian Follett

Damian Follett has been performing professionally for almost 2 decades. Since the mid-to-late 1980's he has been a constant staple of the Newfoundland and Labrador music industry. From his humble beginnings in rock bands to his most recent solo performances at Green Sleeves on George Street, St. John's Newfoundland (the oldest city in Noth America) Follett has always remained true to his first love..being a great entertainer. Anyone who has witnessed a Damian Follett show has no doubt been moved by his incredible work ethic & his undeniable respect for his audience.



He is undoubtedly one of our finest live performers. His marathon sets are legendary at Green Sleeves on George Street. He gives new meaning to the phrase "rock 'til you drop". Follett has won numerous local, national, & international talent contests throughout his career. His songs tell stories about real people with real life problems & issues. His lyrics speak to the everyday person in us all. With an instantly recognizable voice & catchy melodies he has captured the hearts & minds of many a music fan in our province & beyond.


In the early 1990's as the lead singer for Rogues Gallery Follett traveled across Canada for almost 5 years. With songs like "Small Town Boy" & "Don't Say Goodbye" Rogues Gallery enjoyed great success in Newfoundland & the Maritimes. In early 1994 Follett left the band to pursue a solo career. For the next several years he honed his skills as a songwriter & continued to record demos of his songs.


Since 2000 Follett has been pursuing a songwriting career in Nashville, Tennessee. To date he has signed 4 Single Song Publishing Deals in Nashville & he is presently working on several more. Follett has met & performed with some of the greatest songwriters in Nashville. He continues to make more contacts each year & his songwriting career is moving forward at an amazing pace.

This CD 'The Collection' is 20 songs picked out of songs he has written over the many years he has been performing.

Track 19 'Long as Your A Good Man' has been released in Europe an already in the Top 20 in the European Country Charts.
