Biography
The Second Coming features four new songs. "...big skills, understated, sexy behind the beat, butt swinging heavy shit. God I miss this kind of music!!!!" - legendary journalist, Jon Sutherland, states in his review. The opening track, “Symptoms of Desire,” is a raving, throbbing, big fat guitar groove that thunders like a leopard in the jungle on the attack. It will be Daitribe’s debut single to radio. “Forsaken,” is framed by a huge stabbing riff and tight rhythmic pulse that is tastily complimented by 1690’s ‘outside’ solo. It’s the kind of song that doesn’t grow on you, it eats you! “Solice of My Soul” is a melodic trip that surrounds and engulfs. It’s played in the key of scary. The final track “Last Man” addresses many of man’s failures in a succinct metal way. Ricky Riccardo asserts, “we like to set a song up, twist it, invert it, then hit you right in the forehead.” It’s a challenging way to approach music and it’s very rewarding on disc." Daitribe’s EP compliments the instrumental album, The Reckoning, by Project: Storm, released on True Gemini Records. Project: Storm is the side project done for "the hell of it". Guest performers on that disc included T.M. Stevens, on bass, and Vernon Reid (Living Colour) on guitar. The single “Intimidator” was number one for two weeks on MP3.com. It signaled the complete arrival of a great new heavy guitar movement dubbed "shred banging" by Guitar World Magazine. The Second Coming is merely an appetizer for more tight, brutal metal aimed for forehead. It sets you up like a heavy weight knock out. For the sake of safety, have a little taste now. Daitribe will bring you the entrée in person.
