Keep My Faith
Faith Lynn was born into loving arms and hearts so true
She was momma’s angel and daddy’s little girl
She’d come home from school each day, ask her daddy if he’d play
And I loved it more than anything in the world

The night was dark the road was wet, I guess I took that curb too fast
And the next I knew Faith was lying right there next to me

And I said Father, don’t take her away, she’s all I ever lived for, won’t you let her stay?
You know that I will sure have a tough time along the way
So Father hear me now, this is what I pray, you gotta help me keep my Faith

Two years to the day, our little Faith was called away and we’re still in disbelief
Diagnosed a broken heart, her mama, she fell apart and the doctor said she couldn’t stand the grief
The rain was falling as I read a Bible verse on her deathbed, and I caught myself praying these words to Him once again

I said Father, don’t take her away, she’s all I have left here, won’t you let her stay?
You know that I’ll sure have a tough time along the way
So Father hear me now, this is what I pray, you gotta help me keep my Faith
You gotta help me keep my Faith
