Cory Jeter

Biography
Johnson City-based acoustic musician Cory Jeter commands the stage wherever he is, whether he’s leading his own band or working as a hired gun for any number of country, bluegrass and roots music acts throughout the Southeast and the mid-Atlantic.
Raised in Iowa before moving to Johnson City as a student at the world-renowned traditional music program at East Tennessee State University, Jeter has been making a name for himself with a powerful, soulful singing style, perfectly complemented by crisp, articulate guitar playing that’s equal parts fingerboard acrobatics and understated melodic bliss.
Drawing equally from a tradition of polished, innovative musicianship — à la Nashville Bluegrass Band — and the down-home, roots-driven folk mastery of the late Doc Watson, Jeter walks the line between tradition and innovation like few musicians can.
