Biography

Hailing from the small town of Wagoner, OK is a band that is on a mission. Unlike most band's motives for having a band, these young men aren't out for fortune nor fame. They are wanting to TRULY make a difference in this World.

In November of 2006 Consumed by Fire made a trip to Northern Ireland, where the hate between Catholics and Protestants is immense. They worked with other catholic and protestants in bringing the two people groups together on several occasions. A true act of love, compassion, and peace. They hope to return with the rest of the band in the summer of 07 for a full-blown tour.

Consumed by Fire is a band on a mission to restore the broken and give hope to the hopeless. "We want to let everyone know that they don't have to feel that they are going through out this life and it's struggles feeling alone and that nobody cares. . ." says drummer and vocalist Jordan Ward.

The band has already received much criticism over their name. Many have made statements like "I thought you call yourselves a CHRISTIAN BAND," or simply the puzzled question "Consumed by Fire???" The guys tell us that an author/evangelist by the name of Smith Wigglesworth summed up what the fire represents very well in their opinion.

Quote: "If you want to increase in the life of God, then you must settle in your heart that you will not at any time resist the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost and fire-the FIRE burning up everything that would impoverish and destroy you.”

The band also gets their name from the scripture in Jeremiah 20:9- New International Version (NIV)
9 But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

With their gifts and talents and the knowledge of God increasing everyday in their lives, they will soon be a force to reckon with.
