Glimpse Of The Kingdom

When the morning sun’s breaking through the dim horizon
I get a glimpse of the kingdom
As the darkness endes to reveal a new day risisng
I get a glimpse of the kingdom

When I see someone reaching out to help a stranger
I get a glimpse of the kingdom
In a land of strife never fearing for the danger
I get a glimpse of the kingdom

Present yet awaited, near but still so far
We can never know the day or hour
But guided by the spirit, walking in the light
We behold a vision of that power

When I share my coat with a friend in stormy weather
I get a glimpse of the kingdom
Seeking no reward cause we walk this road together
I get a glimpse of the kingdom

When I speak in love to someone I disagree with
I get a glimpse of the kingdom
And I let that love open up the eyes I see with
I get a glimpse of the kingdom

Present yet awaited, near but still so far
We can never know the day or hour
But guided by the spirit, walking in the light
We behold a vision of that power
