A Little Trust

If I had a magic wand that I could wave
I’d fix all the broken people right away
There’d be no sickness in this world
We’d all smile everyday

If a single wish could nourish everyone
I’d make it now before tomorrow comes
Whisper to heaven every minute
‘til hunger was undone

But that ain’t life, that ain’t how it is
There’s no magic cure, no secret wish
So it’s up to us to use a the power of love
And a little trust
We need to have a little trust

If my prayer could fix the sad ones on this earth
I’d stay down on my knees and say the words
There’d be no tears, there’d be no sorrow
No one would ever hurt
