Cody Kilby, currently one of the Travelin' McCourys and formerly 14-year veteran of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, began his music career as a child prodigy. Best known for his stellar guitar playing he is also accomplished on banjo, mandolin, dobro and bass. He began playing banjo at the age of eight and the guitar at eleven. He became the National Flatpicking Champion in 1998 at the age of seventeen. He won four grammy awards with Kentucky Thunder and has recorded with many well known artists. Just Me, his first album, was recorded when he was just sixteen. Cody plays all of the instruments on the album like and accomplished veteran. Today Cody is one of the finest musicians in bluegrass music.
