Biography
Steve Reeths and Sue Kittredge formed the duo Coconut Radio in 2007 after playing many years in the upper Midwest with the jam band Square One. Hearing the call of the warm southern tropics the two embraced the beach music scene that was not only Trop Rock, but included many great Americana, Bluegrass and Blues musicians as well. Drawing inspiration from their contemporaries, as well as the snow white beaches and blue skies of South Walton County, the duo creates with fiddle and guitar an acoustic music style that is an amalgam of all the things they love about their new home. Like a great gumbo or a drink served in a coconut, there is a bunch of different sounds, but they all add up to one thing: Coconut Radio.
Recently Sue Kittredge has been nominated for 2010 Female Vocalist of the Year at the Trop Rock Awards Ceremony to be held at the Meeting of the Minds Convention in Key West in November....Stay tuned into the Coconut Radio!....Coconut Radio continues to write, produce and perform fresh Trop Rock music daily!
