I'll Watch Her Sail
I’ve been watching the weather for days
The soft change of wind, a pulling away
And it’s more than a look or a touch
I know it’s time to let go of the one I have cherished so much

V2:
We walked on the shoreline this morn
She dipped one foot in, I could tell it felt warm
And soon she’ll go back there alone
To a boat that lies waiting to take her to waters unknown

Ch:
And she’ll sail on an easterly wind
The same wind that blew her to me
And I know I can’t stand in her way
So I’ll just watch her sail out to sea

V3:
You might think I should just hold on tight
Or sway her with words, phrase them just write
But I wouldn’t be holding her heart
So I’ll just bid farewell and push down the tears as we part

Ch 2:
And she’ll sail on an easterly wind
The same wind that blew her to me
And I know I can’t stand in her way
So I’ll just watch her sail out to sea

Ch 3:
And she’ll sail . . .
And I know . . .
