Biography
Carlington/Soar have been nominated for five awards by the the 2006 Caribbean Gospel Music Awards (CGMA).

Carlington was awarded Top Caribbean Gospel Male Singer at the 2005 Caribbean Gospel Music Awards ceremony staged in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 2005.

Carlington Roberts, originally from Jamaica, was brought up in the church and commenced singing at an early age. He currently serves as Praise and Worship Leader, and Minister of Music at Harvest Time Apostolic Church in Hollywood, Florida.

Carlington has been very active with his performances, doing opening acts for various International Recording artistes. Some of these performances gained live international media coverage. Carlington has shared the stage with Vicki Winans, Candi staton, Stitchie, Junior Tucker, Papa San, Hopeton Lewis and Carlene Davis. He also had the privilege to minister at conferences hosted by Dr. Myles Munroe.

Carlington has participated on various musical productions done by James Brown, cousin of the late Robert Nesta Marley. He was also a guest artist at the Bob Marley fest in 2003 and a choir gospel competition hosted by Hot 105 at the Lauderhill Mall, Florida.

Carlington is a former South Florida Gospel Network Talent Fest Champion. He successfully achieved this honor on September 6, 2003 doing a rendition of one of his favorite songs "Stand", originally recorded by Pastor Donnie McClurkin. It is said, that if your eyes are closed while Carlington is ministering, one would believe it is Donnie McClurkin singing.

On January 31, 2004, Carlington released his first CD entitled "How Can I Say No?" The CD consists of 4 original songs written by him and highlights his songwriting and vocal aptitude. This CD is currently gaining international air play. He has now completed the much anticipated SOAR! project. Carlington is in high demand for concerts, weddings, banquets and other gospel events.

Carlington earned multiple nominations for the 2004 Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Award (CGMA) in the Top Gospel Male Performer Caribbean/USA and Top Gospel Caribbean New Artiste categories.
