Moondancer
V1: Tonight the moon is dancin’ on a blanket of snow,
Ridin’ on a cold mountain breeze
There’s a whisper on the wind that tells the story of a girl
A free spirited, untrammeled Cherokee

V2: She set out for adventure chasin’ thunder on the ground
A rhythm like a heartbeat in the snow
Wanderin’ deeper in the night, so amazed at what she’d find:
A mare of satin white, all aglow, she called

CH: Moondancer, Moondancer, Moondancer, won’t you come home with me?

V3: She crept a little closer to that beautiful beast
Reachin’ out to take her for her own
Moonlight glimmered in her eye, and the filly reared into the night
And with a rush of winter wind, she was gone. And she cried,

CH: Moondancer, Moondancer, Moondancer, please come back to me!

V4: Only watchin’ from a distance on a blanket of snow
Taunted by that silky, silver mane
Her longing echoes on the breeze, but it never finds relief
Just a kindred spirit better left untamed. And she sings

CH: Moondancer, Moondancer, Moondancer, dance in the night for me
