Eileen's Zebra Room was a jazz nightclub at 708 N. Dallas Ave.in the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is the club where I met Carl Arter in the late 1970s. My brother Allan took me there, then I started going there by myself. Many jazz celebrities came in when they were visiting. They were all close friends of Carl Arter. Among those I met there were Billy Eckstine, Joe Williams and Stanley Turrentine, Joe Harris - all from Pittsburgh.
