Biography
STORY: So, a certain Scotty-dog was reaching a milestone birthday, and his beloved decided to invite his friends to cut a record in Southwestern New York. Near the banks of the Delaware River they came, and over 9 days they played, wrote, laughed and loved until the time came to return to the other things claiming their time and energy. But they did something there, something amazing, something that was caught and can be found in these songs. There is some real gold in the songs written, shared and recorded during that magical time.

LINER NOTES: Produced by Edward Scott Michael for MOSO Records, Montclair, NJ. Tracking and “extra” engineering by Stefan (Vlad) Ilie. Randy Crafton provided The Invisible Hand and some “Search & Rescue” engineering. Mastered by Gene Paul at G and J Audio, Union City, NJ. Some tracks recorded at Cafe Fairfax and MOSO Music. Thank you also to Ray Dillard for listening. Deep gratitude for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair, where their warm welcome and habit of saying “Yes!” to innovation helped build a community where all of these people could meet and merge.
Special thanks also to the beautiful old Cadosia School House in Cadosia, New York, where we recorded this with Scott’s MOSO Mobile rig, and to its spunky proprietor, Rick: “Ignore those bad reviews!”
LABEL: MOSO Music is my record label, established in 2023.
“MOSO” Stands for “MOntclair SOuth." We are trying to brand the south end of our town. Our little slice of New Jersey is pretty special, and down here is where all the artists and workers live. Zina Floyd first coined the term MOSO for her awesome restaurant Cafe Moso. Hopefully MOSO can catch on like “SOHO” or “SOWEBO” - the artists neighborhood in SW Baltimore I lived in for a dozen years. Enjoy! - Edward Scott Michael
