THIS IS MY LIFE

Don't come from Alabama and I ain't from Tennessee
I've been to California but it's really not for me
I'm just a guy down in Nebraska and that's where I'm gonna stay
Can't worry about tomorrow I'm just living for today
Drive a Chevy pickup and takes me where I go
It ain't nothing pretty but it gets me down the road
I like hunting in the morning I go fishing in the afternoon
Digging in my garden is just something that I do...this is my life

I wake up in the morning and I look out to the sky
And I thank the Lord for giving me this life
Living in the country and I'm loving on my wife
I got three young ones who keep my future bright...this is my life

I listen to the music I like playing my guitar
Hanging with the family it don't matter where we are
I get a tender loving feeling when we all belly up to the bar
A good old conversation lets us know just how we are...now this is my life

I wake up in the morning and I look out to the sky
And I thank the Lord for giving me this life
Living in the country and I'm loving on my wife

I've been up to the mountains and I've been down to the sea
And I've come to find out who I'm gonna be
I've been across the ocean and there's been a lot to see

I never went to college but I think I'll be alright
Get along with others, though there's some don't think I might
I ain't looking for a hassle I'm not looking for a fight
I hold on to my anger it's just better left inside...this is my life
