Jon Burrowes - Fish and Corn March
9. Fish and Corn March – This was going to be the opening march for a play about Walt Whitman's stay in New Orleans in 1848. I wrote several other tunes for the play. But they all turned out not to be a good fit, and the show went on with different music. I recorded all the parts for this song one afternoon in my apartment, by myself. The arrangement was ad hoc, as I was playing it.
