Pebble Mine
I’m twelve years old and I’m a rebel
These days ‘round here that’s not so hard to find
If I have anything to say about it
They’ll never build the Pebble Mine

I was born here in Alaska
Raised between the land and the sky
Taught the earth needs our protection
So I will fight the Pebble Mine

We are the guardians of the salmon
Spawned in these waters since the dawn of time
If their acid runs into the rivers
All life will die from the Pebble Mine

These men in London and Toronto
How can they be so greedy, so blind
Poison this Bay so much life depends on
‘Til the ocean bleeds from the Pebble Mine

We made a promise to nature
To honor the earth, not some bottom line
To take only what we really need
And we don’t need the Pebble Mine

We will stand up for the future
Speak the truth, raise our voices high
When our children turn twelve we’ll tell them
How we stopped the Pebble Mine
