Biography
The Bridget Kelly Band (BKB) is excited to announce the release of their much-anticipated 6th album Dark Spaces on Alpha Sun Records (2020), with 13 all-original songs, and sounds that reach across music genres and eras.

A fashionable and diverse Blues-Rock-influenced album that boasts an eclectic mix of engaging traditional and modern-day compositions, Dark Spaces reaches into sonic and lyrical territory that can best be described as timely, emotive, moving, and provocative.

BKB's musical excursions are energetic and lively, borrowing from a variety of musical forms including Blues, Pop, and Southern-Rock. From straight-up, 12-bar electric Blues progressions to danceable blues-rock hybrids, BKB explores the landscapes of the mind and body, and the stark realities of the human condition, with songs framed in subject matters that span from the murky recesses of isolation and loneliness, to the summits of hope and unbridled optimism.

The sultry vocals of Bridget Kelly and the incendiary guitar work of Tim Fik combine for many magical moments on this release, showing depths of maturity in song writing and performance; as well as an exciting new direction for the band, and a hint of things yet to come. The band has regularly charted in the top-10 of the RMR Blues charts. Their "Bone Rattler" CD was #1 on the RMR Electric Blues charts for 24 weeks in 2017, and was the #2 Electric Blues record for that year. The band's Blues Warrior CD climbed to #3 on the RMR Blues-Rock chart in June of 2018.

Dark Spaces hit #3 on the RMR Blues-Rock album chart the week of July 4th, 2020; and was the #1 most-downloaded Blues Album on AirPlayDirect for the month of June 2020.

In 2018, Tim Fik was honored by the Blues Foundation in Memphis (blues.org) with a "Keeping the Blues Alive" (KBA) Award for his lifelong work in Blues education.

The Bridget Kelly Band's "In the Spirit" 2019 summer tour included standing ovation performances at clubs, jukes, concert halls, and Blues festivals across the nation... from Florida to Minnesota,Maine to Colorado.

While the Pandemic of 2020 has led to the cancellation of show for the 2020 summer tour, the band is back in the studio working on tracks for yet another album, to be released in January of 2021 (tentatively entitled "Touch of Madness").

For now...Bridget Kelly Band is back in 2020 with "Dark Spaces" -- a Baker's dozen of hot, provocative, rockin' sweet and delicious tunes that are sure to please.
Get ready, get set, Go! Enjoy.
