Here is a very welcome reissue of some of the best material recorded by The Boys from Indiana, a fine band that had a wide and loyal following in the 1970s and 80s. The group’s roots go back to the 1950s, when Harley Gabbard (Dobro) and Aubrey Holt (guitar) recorded some 45rpm records for Starday and other local labels. Over time, they developed into a very entertaining and proficient regional group that eventually became popular all over the country and made a number of impressive appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. Throughout the band’s history, Aubrey Holt wrote most of their songs, and he’s respected today as a fine composer. Paul Mullins on fiddle, Noah Crase on banjo and Jerry Holt on bass rounded out what was a fine traditional Bluegrass band. Among the songs found on this compilation is the classic "Atlanta Is Burning."
