Originally, Blood Stain Carpet generated in 1998. The sound was influenced by death metal bands such as Morbid Angel, Devourment, Prophecy, and a mix of classic metal/rock such as Pantera and Metallica. The sound was intense. By the end of 2002 the decision was made that this could be more... Blood Stain Carpet united in 2003 as a four piece.
The four piece consisted of Guitarists Bobby Vanover III and Jonathan Gaston, Bassist Carl Wayne Farley and the quick footed, double kicking demon Jay Bird Wilson on drums. At that time Bobby, Jonathan and Carl were doing the vocals. After a about a year of playing shows in the D.F.W area and recording a brutal demo, bassist Carl Wayne unfortunately parted ways with the band. Knowing that BSC was far from complete, the search went on for a Front Man and a Bass player.
In early 2008, Stephen "MUD" Mashburn and Mike "RED" Boyou stepped into the jam room with BSC. What was to follow was the beginning of the end. Mud's low growls and high screams were just what the band needed to help compliment their sound. "Red" came along showing off his quick learning skills and Powerful bass talents, bringing the band to a near completion. With these two ultimately solidifying the band, BSC was near completion but something needed a change. That change was found and the band complete with the replacement of Johnathan by new guitar prodigy, Franky Brown.
Blood Stain Carpet is now under new management with VERGE ENTERTAINMENT MANAGEMENT, (VEM) and making strides towards a signed label and national contention. With these changes and new additions, all limits have dissipated. Bsc is a strong 5 piece scheduled to release there first full EP in 8/2008 called "The Red Veil".
