Saturday Big Shop (live)
Saturday Big Shop
Ive been up all night with my friends
And weve been drinking for a good twelve hours
Well some of them were good
And one or two were great
But now Im starting to lose my superpowers
Weve been chatting and joking
And drinking and smoking
And doing all the things that we do
Till someone checked his phone
And said, Its time to venture out
Into the world; were gonna need more booze
And so we sent out
A party of scouts
Warriors all, strong and brave
With a carefully considered list of alcohol and junk-food
And we made our way to Kwik Save
Well I know youre doing your Saturday big shop
But spare me the pitying stares
Oh well the lights too bright and I wanna go home
Cant get you out of my head
And its a proper nightmare
So Ive got my basket of booze
And Ive lost myself in the crowd
And as insipid music whines above our heads
Im seeing red
And everything is just a bit too loud
And Im coughing and spluttering
Choking and muttering
And trying not to catch peoples eyes
And as I pass another aisle
My basket catches on some tins
And I feel like Im gonna capsize
And like sharks in a dark sea
The shoppers surround me
As they shout at their kids and they frown
And Im not just a bit wrecked
Im totally shipwrecked
I reel around and I drown
Well I know youre doing your Saturday big shop
But spare me the pitying stares
Oh well the lights too bright and I wanna go home
Cant get you out of my head
And its a proper nightmare
I float downstream
Randomly drift and dream
My mind seems clean
Part of a big machine
The big machine could be stopping
But whos gonna do this shopping
And those Rizlas
Arent gonna buy themselves
And those Rizlas
Arent gonna buy themselves
And those big blue Rizlas, boy
Arent gonna buy themselves
Well I know youre doing your Saturday big shop
But spare me the pitying stares
Oh well the lights too bright and I wanna go home
Cant get you out of my head
And its a proper nightmare
