And let the music take my mind away, I need to make sure that it’s here to stay
I just can’t lose it or I know that I’ll die, I couldn’t tell you so don’t ask me why

I guess the reason is it’s all that I got and I ain’t never really had a lot
But all the things I do have now, the music’s brought me though I’m not sure how
I guess it’s just because the beauty that it brings helps to create all of these wonderful things
But someday when these things are gone I still will have the music all life long
