About the Song: This is another song that I wrote in the 90’s for the Pizza Hut Showdown competition and our band Code Blue, performed it at that event and other venues when we were together. I grew up going to a Pentecostal Free-will Baptist church where we would openly give thanks and praise to the Lord so the lyrics are reminiscent of any give Sunday’s sermon. This song gives closure to the CD as almost a benediction of sorts. With all of the life experiences here on Earth, good or bad, I am thankful for making it through thus far and able to have the sun shining my way. I am thankful for the gifts granted to me and the ability to share them with you via these recordings. God’s plan is often mysterious and sometimes simple blessings are overlooked but without His divine intervention, these songs would have never reached your ears. We may have never met, but we did and I thank Him that we did and I thank you for listening.
