One Horse Slay
ONE HORSE SLAY – 3:44

Gather round to hear the tale of Xmas long ago
I’ll tell you how old St. Nick lost his merry ho ho ho
---
We trimmed the tree with ornaments, icicles and lights
We always unwrapped one gift but that fateful night

Baby stole a one-horse sleigh to run down Santa Claus
She clipped Rudolph on the way, knocked off Frosty’s jingle balls
The night of the one horse slay, that horse without an “S”
Made the Grinch look generous and she put Xmas to rest

Baby had a big surprise on that eve of yore
Then into that silent night, a knock upon the door
---
A taxi was parked in the lane and she stood to leave
She said her plane to LAX, left at eight-fifteen

Baby stole a one-horse sleigh to run down Santa Claus
She clipped Rudolph on the way, knocked off Frosty’s jingle balls
The night of the one horse slay, that horse without an “S”
Made the Grinch look generous and she put Xmas to rest

A crumpled pile of wasted years
not a fault of yours

nothing but goodbye my dear
See you, I’ll see you in court

Baby stole a one-horse sleigh to run down Santa Claus
She clipped Rudolph on the way, knocked off Frosty’s jingle balls
The night of the one horse slay, that horse without an “S”
Made the Grinch look generous, mistletoe her kiss of death

Baby stole a one-horse sleigh to run down Santa Claus
She clipped Rudolph on the way, knocked off Frosty’s jingle balls
The night of the one horse slay, that horse without an “S”
Made the Grinch look generous and she put Xmas to rest
