Biography

Born Benjamin Jay Rogers, and raised in Durham, North Carolina, creating music has been a part of Benny Da Kidd, every since he was created. He produced for Kindred and India.Arie at the young age of 19, and then took 2 years off to continue his studies at Winston-Salem State University.

Now at 21, his library of beats is impressing artist from Chaka Khan and Keyshia Cole to Gordan Chambers (Grammy Wining Songwriter for Anita Baker's "I Apologize"), Chico Benymon (actor/singer of CW's The Game) and RazB (of B2K). He is currently scheduled to work in the studio this summer with a lot of hot new up and coming artist like Harlem (winner of BET's 106 & Park Wildout Wednesdays), LA Based artist Tha Major (with a September/07 cd release date), and Cecia (who is about to launch an international tour).

In addition, he is hosting a mix-tape with famed DJ Clue, and in negotiations to appear as a celebrity judge on an upcoming episode of BET's 106th and Park Freestyle Fridays.

He has an awesome personality; one of those types that gets along with and vibes with everyone, and artists love him!
