Watching Over You
“Watching Over You”
Written by: Prince C. Damons

Verse 1:
When I look back, I don’t have to look far
To see how good he’s been to me and brought me out
You see I was just like you, trying make it today
Living in a cold cruel world, just tryin’ to find my way
Didn’t have no money. Barely had any food
Couldn’t nobody tell me what I’m supposed to do
And then one morning, I found myself in the church house
And preacher man seemed like he was talking to me when he said….

Chorus:
These…troubles won’t last always (and then he said)
You’ve…got to get down and pray (on your knees)
He watches over the sparrow and
Surely He’s watching over you

Verse 2:
I remember the day. When the doctor had told me
Say your goodbyes cause you don’t have long (insert your soloist name here)
He went on to tell me, that it don’t look too good
And you know I’d tell you if I knew I could
You got cancer in your body and it’s out of control
I stopped him right there and said you don’t know what I know (ha)
Now 10 years later, as all of you can see
I had to go back and tell that doctor God wasn’t done with me

Chorus:

Bridge:
Troubles don’t last always, (ensemble: it’s just a test) it’s just a test of your faith (hey…)
If you just hold on, there’ a blessing on the other side waiting on you.

Chorus: 2x
