I wake up to another day
Sun won’t shine, sky’s full of gray
I’ve got to go, lace up my shoes
I’ve got them low down, cold graveyard blues

We were wed, was in the spring
Flowers bloomed, the birds did sing
Of life to come, I never knew
That I’d have them low down, cold graveyard blues

With broken hearts, we labored on
