Strange Woman
Strange Woman
He walked through the town in the evening; he walked down the street all alone.
He walked through the town in the twilight; he made his long journey home.
From her window she would watch him, watch him as he passed by every day.
Then one night when he turned the corner, before him these words he heard her say.
I’m sweeter than honey, I’m smoother than oil.
Well you can take your fill tonight and then tomorrow you may go.
She caused him to go with her, but little does he know, her steps go down to hell and the price will be his soul.
Now Satan is like this strange woman.
He’s walking in the earth to and fro.
Oh sinner friend please be watchful, for he lays in wait for your soul.
Well now, He’s sweeter than honey, he’s smoother than oil.
You can take your fill tonight and then tomorrow you may go.
But friend if you go with him, little do you know, his steps go down to hell and the price will be your soul.
His steps go down to hell.
