Pea Vine Blues
This is one of the early Charlie Patton numbers, though Jim Brewer had a version of this one too that he said he learned from his dad, a blues playing barber. Some of Jim's verses complemented Charlie’s so I threw them in.
Patton's "Peavine Blues", refers to the branch of the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad which ran south from Dockery Plantation to Boyle.
