Lost In The Woods

1. It was once a fresh and sweet morning in June
They went in woods hiking; they were to be back soon.

Her Mom and her brother who didn’t stop to wait
Just could not imagine she would go astray

She stood there alone, she was only ten
She cried but nobody seemed to hear her
World’s got the teeth – don’t you understand?
Nobody’s here to help you now, when you are lost.

2. Police was alerted, who thought it could fail?
She was just too far now to find the main trail.

Her traces were gone with a warm summer rain
The searching had started, it was all in vain

Frightened and tired, she stood there alone
She cried but nobody seemed to hear her
Eight days in the woods she was on her own
Who could imagine she would stand this? She was –

As on the ninth day in the woods she came across one man.
She looked dead rather than alive,
She could not speak, she could not cry,
But after all that peril she survived.
