International Hip Hop Sensation 'Amu Uso Releases US Debut November 17, 2009
Hip-Hop artist 'Amu Uso creates a buzz overseas and then returns to the United States for his debut release.

Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) November 16, 2009 -- 'Amu is a non-traditional rap artists that blends Samoan style guitar, Blues, and Hip-Hop to create his music. His debut CD will be released worldwide this Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

Just a few years ago, fledgling independent Hip-Hop acts would seek out influential local radio and club DJs hoping to get their music played before thousands of people. Hopes of that song used to live and die by their opinion. But today, the influence of local DJs has depreciated with the fragmentation of traditional radio markets due to iPods and the internet. As traditional radio loses listeners, artists shunned by local DJs immediately turn to the internet for a world of new opportunities. Such is the case for the St. Louis, Missouri Hip-Hop artist 'Amu Uso.

The guitar playing rapper/producer figured his sound and style wouldn't get the support of St. Louis DJs, and he was right. Uso sent his music to every local DJ he could think of. When that didn't work he contacted local music editors but still no responses. In the past, most Hip-Hop artists would have given up but, 'Amu Uso tailored an international approach that now has his music played on radio stations and in night clubs throughout the world. "I love making music but, from a business perspective it is a product. I wanted my product to be different from anything else. Because it's different, I expected it to not go over well with local DJs because they seem to follow trends," says Uso. He continues, "I wanted it to work locally but in retrospect I'm glad the DJs didn't respond to me because I wouldn't have thought about going to the international markets. I found that they are more accepting of different styles of music. Instead of taking a chance in other US markets I just decided to go overseas".

In a matter of weeks, 'Amu Uso was one of the few independent artists added to the new music lineup for several international terrestrial radio stations including Radio One, 88FM in Greece (www.radio1.gr). His smash hit "Come 2 The Front" is among the top 20 Hip-Hop downloads on several US and international music pools like www.masspoolmp3.com and it is still gaining momentum. Uso was the V.I.P. featured artist on www.Starfleet.com; one of the top music pools in the world. His music, videos, pictures, ring tones, and 3gp files have been downloaded over 100,000 times with traffic concentrated in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Germany, Romania, and China. His CD entitled, "The Dirt Men Do- Volume 1" will be available this Tuesday November 17th, 2009 on Amazon.com, www.UsoMusic.com, and many other online retail outlets.
