Devil's Looking Glass (single)
The air is getting thinner as you climb up the mountain trail
And the misty fog surrounds you like the scalding flames of hell
As you come across the peak you’ll see a jagged rocky mass
And a sign that points ahead and reads the devils looking glass
Many men have gazed upon it but never lived to tell the tale
A haunting rock formation at the tip top of the trail
When darkness falls upon the town and the clouds turn to haze
The moonlight casts a shadow in the shape of evil’s face
Now the lost souls of the dead make it their home
On a mountainside they find themselves alone
A breath of darkness mirrors all the horror from their past
As a young girl of nineteen I heard the legend told in vain
Thoughts of wonder had arose and pity filled my heart with pain
On a dark and foggy night I knew I had to go and see
The face that shadowed o’er the riverside into the trees
As the daylight turns to dark the trail came out upon a peak
Cold and lonely as I gazed I heard an empty voice speak
Those who wish to look upon my face shall see their fates report
But as I felt the pain of death I saw my body on the shore
Now I live amongst the trail above my bones
Sadness and despair I’m all alone
My breath of darkness mirrors all the horrors from my past
As I make my forever home
