Curtains
In the morning you would open up our curtains
Sunlight filled our room and I would hear
Good morning dear it’s time to start the day
Coffee’s brewing and I love you by the way

I’ve been thinking about the time we had together
How every day was better than the last
Lovin’ you was easy missing you will kill me
And it seems I just can’t let go of the past

Those happy days with you are just a memory
And I can only hold you in my dreams
I pray you’ll be there to let the light back in at dawn
But I wake to find the curtains still are drawn

Even though we had some hard times
Your love was always warmer than the sun
And I don’t know what happened to me or how I lost my troubled mind
But I broke you heart I’m guilty of that crime

But I guess you’re doing fine now
There’s just a couple things I need to say
I miss you I love you and that won’t ever change
And I’m begging of you now come back to stay

I can’t bear to only have just your memory
I’m pleading with you now come back to me
And I’ll pray you’ll be there to let the light back in at dawn
But I’ll wake to find the curtains still are drawn
But I wake to find the curtains still are drawn
